Forever Learning

The Y Offers School Aged Enrichment that Parents Can Feel Good About

During these challenging times when your regular routine seems to change on a daily basis, one thing remains the same: your child needs a safe, enriching place to go when school is not in session plus before and after school day.

While the school year may look different than before, our program continues to be a familiar place where children can be safe. The health and safety of your child, your family our staff and our community is our top priority!

As an organization dedicated to youth development, we are working closely with the Board of Education! We know how important it is for a child to have an enriching place for learning and growth, both in and out of school. And we’re happy to be able to provide that place, allowing your child’s social, emotional, physical and academic journey to continue long. Are also proud to be able to provide you and your family with the services required to remain healthy.

Financial assistance is available to ensure every child and teen has the opportunity to learn and grow at the Y.  Call the Stratford Y for more information.

With all of the uncertainty around how school will happen, two things are for sure — kids need to learn and parents need to work. Our new Y Learning Center at the Stratford Y allows children to attend remote school classes supervised by Y staff, so parents can have peace of mind while at work.

Students in grades K-6 will be provided with a quiet and supported place to attend virtual classes.  Outside of remote school classes, Y staff will lead arts and STEM activities, physical activity, swim time, Gaga, and archery.  Our staff are role models with a passion for working with children. All staff go through a rigorous interview process with reference and background checks before being offered employment. They are trained in First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration, Child Abuse recognition and prevention, as well as child development.

The Y Learning Center is state-licensed by the Office of Early Childhood and will follow all CDC and state guidelines regarding group size and mask wearing. Care4Kids is accepted and financial aid is available for those who qualify.   Weekly payment plans available.

Students will need to provide their own computer and headphones.  Please bring a nut-free lunch, a bathing suit, a towel and appropriate clothes for outdoor play.  Our goal is to keep students outside as much as possible!  The SACC Safety Plan will be followed by the Y Learning Center.  Call or visit our website to learn more and enroll your child today!

We strive to meet the needs of our families while providing quality experiences for the children in our programs. Where and how children spend their time is vital to their growth and success in life.

We help kids reach their potential and thrive in a safe, trustworthy setting. We offer a curriculum that aligns with the school day and supports growth in literacy, science, math, science, engineering, and technology (STEM) while infusing the arts, physical activity, and fun. We teach kids confidence, encourage self-expression and enrich social development. Providing our youth with the support, encouragement and positive role models that they need, will not only increase their ability to succeed in school but in life. For families, we offer peace of mind knowing that your child is in a safe and educational program building new relationships and achieving more.
