Supporting You Safely!
Date: December 17, 2020
January 1st is traditionally a symbolic day to refocus the priorities in your life. For many, that means focusing on your personal well-being, and more specifically, committing to exercising more. The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA is eager and ready to help you safely and conveniently navigate your wellness journey so you can feel your best. The YMCA offers in-person and online options to help you reach your goals, connect with others, and get the support you need in 2021.
Member safety is our top priority and Central Connecticut Coast YMCAs are clean, safe, and in full compliance with all CDC and public health guidelines regarding cleaning, sanitizing, and social distancing. “At our Ys, our new staff motto is “We don’t lean, we clean”, says, Tim Bartlett, CCCY Senior Vice President/COO. “We know that even more than friendly staff and great classes, our members are most concerned about the safety and cleanliness of the facility. Beyond cleanliness, all of our staff are trained on how to lead and monitor activities following the most current guidelines in a friendly, welcoming way.”
In addition to all of the modified amenities, we offer virtual programming for members who prefer to connect with their friends and exercise from the convenience of their home. “I miss going to the Y, and the online classes have been a blessing for me. Not only can I exercise from home and see my Y friends, I now do classes I could never try in person any time I want. I’ve done more classes online than ever before,” says YMCA member Gail Stanton.
“We are proud of our ability to adapt our traditional activities in innovative ways and will continue to do so. More importantly, we have been able adapt to our community’s needs and provide service in new ways,” says Tim Bartlett.
