Thank you for making the work of the Y possible.

Date: December 1, 2020

My wish is that you, and your family, are in good health and looking forward to the start of a new year. If you or a loved one have been directly affected by the Covid-19 virus, please know that the prayers of many are with you for a rapid and full recovery.

As we began 2020, who could have imagined how these past ten months would have impacted our lives? There has been pain, uncertainty, and loss. It has also been a time when, more than ever, we have seen neighbors stepping forward to help one another, and so it has been at the Y. You – our volunteers, donors, members, staff and community have made an incredible impact on those in need of food, blood, shelter, clothing, child care, and educational support. Just as important, you have been there with empathy, compassion, a big smile, and a warm welcome for those who need the help of a friend. For all of these blessings, I thank you.

Thank you for making the work of the Y possible.

Now our challenge continues. Yes, a vaccine is on the way and hope for a return to a virus-free society is growing. This is going to take some time, and our neighbors continue to need us right now. So, let’s keep our commitment strong to this great cause.

Please join me in rededicating yourself to serving our neighbors most in need. There are a couple ways in which we can do this; volunteering your time and donating to the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA’s Covid-19 Relief Fund are two of the best. I wish you all the best as we move forward together as a Y family. Once again, thank you for making this impactful, transformational and life-saving work possible.

With deepest appreciation, David Stevenson, President & CEO
