Lifeguard Certification Courses at the Stratford YMCA

Red Cross Life Guard Certification includes CPR, AED, and First Aid. For ages 15 years and up. Candidates must be able to swim 300 yards (550 for water front, demonstrating rhythmic breathing, untimed) tread water for two minutes (without using hands), and complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds. Must take pre-test before registering for class. Blended learning course, online and classroom.

Must attend all classes.

WHEN: Monday, April 14 – 9:00am-5:00pm / Tuesday, April 15 – 9:00am-5:00pm / Wednesday, April 16 – 9:00am-5:00pm / Thursday, April 17 –  9:00am-5:00pm

FEE:  First Time Certification: Members $285 / Program Participant $385, Lifeguard Recertification (current certification expired less than thirty days) Members $120 /Program Participant $160

*Recertification class is held on April 17, all day
