Summer Day Camp

SDV Nonoma

WELCOME TO SUMMER DAY CAMP!

At Y day camp, your kids will make new friends and have tons of fun as they explore new adventures each day.

The YMCA believes all kids have great potential and deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. At YMCA day camp kids and teens can develop skills, self-confidence, new friendships and a sense of belonging – all while having tons of fun.

In order to have fun and thrive, kids of all ages need to feel both physically and emotionally safe. When you drop your child off at a camp, you can rest assured that their total well-being will be supported. Safety is always our number one priority! We keep kids healthy and safe while providing enriching experiences. Our experienced and caring staff and volunteers model the positive core Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility that help build character.

Give To The Y Today

Our will to serve is endless!

Whenever we see a need in our community, the Y stands ready to help with open arms and caring hearts. Thanks to the unwavering support of our donors, volunteers and members, the Y has always been able to adapt and respond to the ever-changing needs of our community.

This year, we are proud to share that together, we have taught children to swim, housed the homeless, provided food to those in need, offered wellness programs for all ages, supported older adults and provided scholarships to many so they could participate at the Y.

We’re asking for your help so that we can continue to support our neighbors and strengthen our community. No matter what challenges the future may bring, we will continue to work together.

Give to Y! Please make a donation by clicking here and choosing the Branch or Annual Campaign scholarship program closest to your heart. Make a donation to help create a stronger community for all.

Youth and Government Program

Youth and Government is a national YMCA group that involves thousands of teenagers worldwide in programs that model their state government.  The New Haven YMCA has been participating in the Youth and Government program since 2006.  Between October and March of each year, the teens in the Youth Center meet once to twice a week to discuss and debate issues in their state and to learn how to draft legislation concerning these issues.

The objective of the program is to teach leadership training, public speaking, critical thinking, community activism, political knowledge, and the development of research, reading and writing skills for academic enhancement.  The youth’s hard work and dedication is rewarded in a weekend conference at the Legislative Office Buildings in Hartford where they present their bills to other YMCA teens across the state.
