The Fairfield YMCA is a cornerstone in the Fairfield community. Our facility brings personal wellness programs, child care, aquatics and swim lessons, youth programs and camps and adult sports into the reach of all Fairfield community residents. Greatness by Serving

Life Guarding Course

4 lifeguards


Red Cross Waterfront Life Guard Certification includes CPR, AED and First Aid. For 15 years and up. Candidates must be able to swim 550 yards non-stop and tread water for three minutes. Must take pre-test before registering for class. Blended learning course, online and classroom. Must attend all classes.

Fee: $275 for Y Member, $375 Community

Pre-test on January 22 at 1pm

Classroom hours: January 29 10am-4pm and January 30 9am-2 pm

Summer Day Camp

SUMMER is a time for kids to be kids!

Y Day Camp is the place to make every precious summer day a great one! Because the YMCA believes all kids have great potential and deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.

The Fairfield YMCA Summer Day Camp provides kids with a safe, healthy, familiar, and fun-filled environment for them to explore, build confidence, develop skills, make lasting friendships and memories so they can grow as individuals and leaders. For families, day camp offers a peace of mind knowing that your child is in a safe and enriching place.

If your child is 14-15 years of age, they may be interested in our Counselor in Training program. In our CIT program, they will receive valuable job interviewing skills, child care training, leadership experience, team building, and problem-solving skills. Sleepaway Camp and BOLD & GOLD Teen Leadership Expedition Info Sessions!

YMCA Camp Hi-Rock is the sleepaway camp for the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA!

Camp Hi-Rock is a sleepaway camp and adventure trip center located in Western Massachusetts. They are nestled among 1,000 acres in the Berkshire Mountains, surrounded by conservation forest, and centered around a pristine, private, ninety-acre lake. This gives them the ideal backdrop for the wide variety of activities they offer, which include swimming, climbing, water skiing, archery, sailing and arts & crafts among many others. Through the values of the YMCA, Camp Hi-Rock is dedicated to the growth and development of all participants. They seek to help each camper develop his or her sense of personal worth and responsibility as a cooperative member of a group. In addition, they help campers to discover, learn, cultivate new skills, develop healthy lifestyles, create meaningful relationships, and become more caring, honest, respectful and responsible people.
