VIRTUAL 5K RUN/WALK

HAPPY 176th BIRTHDAY!

Usher in summer and enjoy our first virtual 5K Run/Walk in celebration of the YMCA’s 176th Birthday!

Gather those you’ve been living with or challenge yourself! Choose a Fun Run/Walk (1 Mile) or a 5K. Run, walk, stroll or roll! Everyone can participate whether you’re training for another race or just want to walk a little further.

Complete your Run/Walk between Fri June 5, Sat June  and Sun June 7. You get to decide when you’ll be active.

Participation is Free! Donations to support the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA Covid-19 Fund so that the Y can continue to serve our community are accepted.

Once you’ve completed our Virtual Run/Walk please email jroyce@cccymca.org with your Race Results. For additional, fun send a photo that includes your race bib, Y logoed gear, a birthday hat, your treadmill brand or a landmark from your race route.

SUPPORTING WELLNESS WHILE APART

This program encourages us to stay healthy together, virtually. Weekly meetings for discussion and exercise, as well as nutritional suggestions and tips will be shared. Give this program a try – to lose weight, maintain your fitness, or just to connect with others.

Once weekly we will meet together to talk, and twice weekly we will offer exercise classes together.  All meetings will be held on Zoom, a virtual meeting platform.

When We’ll Talk:  Mondays at 3:30pm

When We’ll Exercise: Wednesdays at 5pm and Fridays at 3:30pm

As a New Y Member, we would like you to achieve your wellness goals and get the most out of your Y investment. Please sign up for F.I.T. (Free Introductory Training) Sessions so that we can help you get started.

  • Time to get to know each other. Your dedicated F.I.T. Coach is here to serve you!
  • Understanding your goals and expectations together so that we can develop an action plan to ensure your success.
  • Answer any questions you may have about wellness, equipment, and our facility.
  • Teach some basic tips so you can hit the ground running.
  • Review your progress toward your wellness goals and expectations. Offer some innovative tips to help you progress even faster and discuss potential barriers.
  • Start working towards your wellness goals and having some fun!
  • An introduction to our Personal Training Program.

Group Exercise Classes

AGES: 15 and up

20 group exercise classes are available each week that include: Zumba (Beginner & Advanced), R.I.P.P.E.D., Yoga, Cardio & Sculpt, Walk & Run Clubs, and so much more! Check out the group exercise schedule located on our schedules page for more information.
