In honor of Earth Day on April 22 the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA will demonstrate our support for environmental protection. Our hope is to celebrate the importance of taking care of nature and beautifying our community. Events will be held throughout our service area Saturday, April 17 – Friday, April 23. Each event will be an opportunity for you to volunteer alongside us, give back to our community and donate. Let’s come together and demonstrate our commitment to each other.
Engage along side us to help our community. Together we can make a difference.
Volunteer! Get involved and work beside us with other community supporters. Sign up to volunteer for a safe, socially distanced volunteer shift at one of many events. We hope to have a YMCA presence at each! Volunteer groups welcome! Our goal is to have 22 new volunteers work beside our 22 Y staff members to collect over 22 bags of trash.
Give Back! We hope to spend 220 hours beautifying our community. Can you give us a little of your time and energy?
Donate! Make an on-line donation to support this vital work so that the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA can help serve those in our community who needs us most. Our goal is to raise at least $2,200 during our April Days of Service. Every dollar counts!

YMCA Camp Hi-Rock is a sleep-away camp located in Western Massachusetts. We are nestled among 1,000 acres in the Berkshire Mountains, surrounded by conservation forest, and centered around our pristine, private, ninety-acre lake. This gives us the ideal backdrop for the wide variety of activities we offer, which include swimming, climbing, water skiing, archery, sailing and arts & crafts among many others. Through the values of the YMCA, Camp Hi-Rock is dedicated to the growth and development of all of the participants we serve. We seek to help each camper develop his or her sense of personal worth and responsibility as a cooperative member of a group. In addition, we want campers to discover, learn, cultivate new skills, develop healthy lifestyles, create meaningful relationships, and become more caring, honest, respectful and responsible people.

The Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA gymnastics team has been inspiring and helping children achieve their goals since the 1980’s. Through the years the Y has produced multiple State and Regional champions as well as State and Regional team championships. Our gymnasts learn, through fun and discipline, the ability to achieve their goals. We believe that if a child believes in themselves and trains hard, then anything, even the amazing sport of Gymnastics can be achieved.
