During these challenging times when your regular routine seems to change on a daily basis, one thing remains the same: your child needs a safe, enriching place to go when school is not in session plus before and after school day.
While the school year may look different than before, our program continues to be a familiar place where children can be safe during their time out of school.
Through a balanced approach to youth development, the Y’s program will offer activities, mentorship and academic support, helping kids to thrive throughout the school year.
As an organization dedicated to youth development, we are working closely with the Board of Education! We know how important it is for a child to have an enriching place for learning and growth, both in and out of school. And we’re happy to be able to provide that place, allowing your child’s social, emotional, physical and academic journey to continue long. Are also proud to be able to provide you and your family with the services required to remain healthy.
Many details can be found in our brochure: 2021 2022 LWT Y SACC Brochure. Financial assistance is available to ensure every child and teen has the opportunity to learn and grow at the Y.
The Y is here to meet your school age child care needs! Our program combines academics with play and offers a caring and safe environment where kids can achieve, feel a sense of belonging, build friendships and explore new interests. The Lakewood-Trumbull Y has two locations to choose from in order to aid in your student’s learning! In the Family Program Center, in addition to distance learning, your child will enjoy an array of gymnastics based activities. In the Family Outdoor Center, your child will be immersed in outdoor exploration when they aren’t distance learning.
Children must have their own electronic device for E-Learning and be enrolled in a hybrid or online learning program.

We strive to meet the needs of our families while providing quality experiences for the children in our programs. Where and how children spend their time is vital to their growth and success in life.
FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
We help kids reach their potential and thrive in a safe, trustworthy setting. We offer a curriculum that aligns with the school day and supports growth in literacy, science, math, science, engineering and technology (STEM) while infusing the arts, physical activity and fun. We teach kids confidence, encourage self-expression and enrich social development. Providing our youth with the support, encouragement and positive role models that they need, will not only increase their ability to succeed in school but in life. For families, we offer a peace of mind knowing that your child is in a safe and educational program building new relationships and achieving more.
FOR HEALTHY LIVING
As a leading nonprofit committed to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, supporting their social-emotional, cognitive and physical development. The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA continues to give youth an enriching and safe experience. Our core values are woven throughout our child care program to create a warm, nurturing, home away from home. Your child’s growth, development and education are important to us, as we do our best to ensure their future is bright.
