Make Your Way to a 5K

Graphic1 4Join our ANY WAY TO 5K Challenge and Climb the Leaderboard!

Run, walk, swim, bike, or climb your way to a weekly 5K! Keep your body moving by completing a 5K each week. Track your movement through your watch, phone, or on your own; just don’t forget to record it on our mobile app. Utilize the Y’s treadmills, spin bikes, stair mills, recumbent bikes, or swimming pools to reach your goal. Record one workout per day to get one step closer to completing this challenge!

Joining the challenge is easy! Be sure to record your workouts to earn credit towards the goal.

  • Open our Mobile App on your device
  • Navigate to the purple My Challenges section
  • Select ‘Any Way to 5K’
  • Tap ‘Join Challenge’
  • Record your workouts (including Group Exercise and Y360 classes) all the way to 5K

If you’re an older adult, our Active Older Adult Fit and Stretch and Stability classes are perfect for improving balance, range of motion, and strength—all while you enjoy the camaraderie of friends. For a refreshing twist, dive into one of our aquatic classes like Aqua Power, Aqua Zumba or Joints In Motion For Arthritis Aquatics Class to challenge your body with the added resistance of water.

Dance lovers, we’ve got you covered too! Cardio Dance, Zumba Gold, and Zumba Toning will have you moving to vibrant beats, torching calories, and having a blast. If you’re looking for a low-impact workout, try Chair Yoga, Tai Chi, or Yoga to enhance your flexibility, balance, and inner peace.

For those ready to kick it up a notch, check out our Kardio Kickboxing, Step & Sculpt, or Cardio Interval & Strength classes. These high-energy workouts combine cardio and strength to get your heart pumping and muscles firing. Want to focus on building serious strength? Our Strength Circuits, Circuit Training 101, and Muscle, Core & More classes offer targeted strength training with a mix of equipment to push you to new levels.

Reclaiming Your Health

aoa swimmersJoin Our Joints In Motion For Arthritis Aquatics Class!

WHEN: Mondays 11:15am-12:15pm

· Multiple exercise activities, including: joint check/warm-up, range of motion/stretching, strengthen­ing, cardiovascular endurance, and joint check/cool down
· Balance and coordination activities
· Helps improve balance and posture with a variety of exercise for feet, legs, core and glutes, along with water walking routines. Range of motion exercise for every joint from head to toe to help with arthritis
· Each class includes a health education component from the program formally known as PACE- People with Arthritis Can Exercise
· Relaxation and breathing activities. Instructors may include weight bearing, posture/body mechan­ics, body awareness, and socialization activities

· Self-confidence
· Self-care
· Mobility
· Muscle strength
· Coordination

To reduce:

· Fatigue
· Pain
· Stiffness

Note: Participants do not need to know how to swim to participate in the class

Located at the front of our Y at 3045 Main Street, the Thrive 250 by GameTime™, an innovative fitness structure, is open to members and the community, ages 13 and up. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced, this equipment is designed for all skill levels.

Thrive 250 offers a full-body, functional fitness experience, helping you prepare for real-life activities by training your muscles to work together across multiple planes of movement. With a variety of exercise stations, this equipment strengthens not only your primary muscles but also the stabilizers and synergistic muscles that support more efficient, effective movement. Functional fitness the way it was meant to be—this is real movement for real people. Directions for use are posted on-site, making it easy to jump in and start your workout!
