Join us for the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA's Have a Heart for a Cause Gala, a special evening celebrating the people and values that make our Y community extraordinary.
Rooted in the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, this year's Gala will honor four remarkable individuals whose contributions have made a meaningful difference in our community. We will also celebrate the life and legacy of Robin Bova, a beloved member of our Y family.

Honoring Robin Bova's Legacy
Robin was a cherished Zumba instructor who brought joy, energy and positivity to everyone around her. Although we lost Robin to cancer in 2023, her spirit continues to inspire our community.
This year's Gala is an opportunity to remember Robin's passion for life, celebrate the connections she created and honor her legacy. We invite guests to carry her joyful spirit throughout the evening—especially on the dance floor.
Supporting Health, Hope and Healing
The Have a Heart for a Cause Gala supports life-changing YMCA programs that help individuals facing serious health challenges find strength, connection and encouragement.
These programs include:
- LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA: Supporting cancer survivors as they rebuild strength, improve well-being and connect with others.
- Rock Steady Boxing: Helping individuals living with Parkinson's disease stay active, build confidence and find community.
- Yoga for People with Multiple Sclerosis: Providing opportunities for movement, wellness and connection in a supportive environment.
More than exercise classes, these programs offer welcoming spaces where participants can build friendships, regain confidence and find hope.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors and community partners, these programs are offered free of charge, with no YMCA membership required.
