Enjoying outdoor fun, swimming, field trips, arts & crafts and making new friends are just some aspects of the experience of participating in our Summer Care Program. As summer approaches, the New Haven Y Youth Center reminds parents that Summer Care is a unique and invaluable experience for children and teens.

At the New Haven Y Youth Center Summer Care, youth will try things they have never tried before, build a relationship with our caring staff or a new friend, and of course, HAVE LOTS OF FUN!

The Y has plans for the summer and is gearing up for summer adventures that will keep kids active, engaged and healthy all summer long. Summer is the ideal time for kids to get up, get out and explore!

The New Haven Y Youth Center provides exciting and educational summer programming for children and teens, and their parents, at the Hamden/North Haven YMCA Camp Mountain Laurel. Children can easily get on the morning bus from the Y along with camp counselors and return in the afternoon. At YMCA Day Camp, kids are in a welcoming environment where they can belong, build relationships and lasting friendships, develop character and discover their potential

To ensure that every child and teen has the chance to go camping, the New Haven YMCA offers financial assistance to those in need. We believe that no one should be turned away because of their inability to pay. Come, let us help!

Nestled in 1,000 acres of the Berkshire Mountains, surrounded by conservation forest, and centered around our pristine, private, ninety acre lake, YMCA Camp Hi-Rock enjoys a truly magnificent location. While at Hi-Rock, campers learn to act as stewards not only of the camp’s natural setting, but of the global environment in which they live.

In the fall, winter, and spring, Hi-Rock offers many meaningful programs for individuals, groups, and families, in addition to hosting groups such as scout troops, family reunions, and school and youth group retreats. Year-round, our wide range of facilities including a spacious dining hall, arts and crafts lodge, recreation lodges, rustic cabins, and waterfront building are the perfect complement to your group’s programming needs.

Located less than 30 minutes from Great Barrington, MA and about 2.5 hours from both Boston and New York City, our majestic location is a comfortable drive from most major cities in the northeast.
