The Valley YMCA has been a vital part of the Valley community since 1866 – serving the residents of Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, and Shelton. At the Valley YMCA, we build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.

The Valley Y has a wide variety of programs for the youth in our community. The Y is a leading nonprofit committed to nurturing the potential of youth – serving infants through teens – in a safe environment. Our experienced and caring staff and volunteers model the positive core Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility that help build character.

“Take what you need, donate what you can.”

The Valley YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club have partnered to bring a Purple Pantry Box to the Valley community.

Purple Pantry Boxes, a volunteer organization based out of Milford, has provided our box and starting stock of pantry items. The boxes remove barriers to get food. Simply walk up to the pantry box, open the door and take what you need and donate what you can. Food provided in the boxes are factory sealed and shelf stable.

You can donate in the box or at the Valley YMCA Child Care Center.
